Childhood Storybook ATC's

Hi All!

I meant to share these with you earlier - but still not managing much due to being sick still.

Anyway, I received all the gorgeous Childhood Storybook ATC swap back that I joined up on one of the many FB groups that I belong too.

I had so much fun thinking about all the wonderful books that I read as a child - but only one stood out for me! It was The Hobbit by Tolkien. My Dad had brought me the hard cover series when I was born and it was also the very first video we ever watched on our very fist VCR. It was a dodgy cartoon video - but I loved it all the same! Even though I love the new trilogy movies and am hanging out for the arrival of the new The Hobbit Movie, nothing will ever beat the books!

Cheers......

Purple Sparkle ATC Swap - June 2012

Hi All!

Just dropping by to share some gorgeous Purple and Sparkle ATC's from a FB group that I participated in back in June.

The requirements for this swap was that each card had to have purple somewhere on it and a bit of sparkle! I love all the different styles.

This was the card that I made. I used sparkly purple and pink paper for the flowers, which I stuck on before running the whole piece through my Ezy-Press machine!  Plus for a little bit of extra sparkle, I added some icestickles to the centre of each flower.

One Busy Nanna!

Hi All!

Thought I would share these photos with you all, showing what my Mum got up to when she was here visiting for 3 weeks.  She got all this done, plus still had time to help me spring clean the house, play with the kids, go shopping with me, finish Little mans vest and knit him a dinosaur! WOW - she was certainly one busy Nanna!

###Well here goes - I have been trying to post this post for a while now - but blogger hasn't been playing nicely. So fingers crossed that it works today and you can all see the pictures!###

Plus on top of all of these cards - she managed to scrap two double page scrapbook layouts and completed her Scrap Challenge page entry for our upcoming Scrapbooking retreat in Sept/Oct.

Hope you enjoyed looking at my Mum's creations!  All of them are current Kaszazz workshops with the exception of the Owl cards, which has since been retired.

Black & White ATC Swap - May 2012

Hi All!

Just dropping in to quickly share some gorgeous Black & White ATC's that I received in the mail yesterday!

I was lucky enough to join in a FB group swap, where the theme was simple - it just had to be a Black & White. Simple, yeah right, hundreds of ideas flooded my brain and what I ended up with was nothing like I had originally planned.

This was the ATC that I made for the swap.....

and these are the other 9 that I received.....

Please excuse the plastic covers they are all still in! But, as you can see, they are all different and simply gorgeous. I love how there aren't even two that are remotely the same.

Anyway, I should start getting on to this month's ATC swaps - the theme is Purple and Bling!

Cheers......

Feeling Sketchy Challenge #9

CRAFTMAD MAY CARD SWAP SPOILER ALERT!
EYAK48 DO NOT READ!

Hi All!

I am sure you have all noticed my absence over the last couple of months - I have seriously lost my papercraft mojo and despite countless attempts to find it again - It was just not happening!

As usual, I had put my name down to do a Thankyou card swap over at Craftmad for the month of May (I can't help myself) - leaving it until only yesterday to make a start on my two cards that should have been received by this date by my swap partner!

I was having big trouble - that is until I saw the below sketch challenge over at the Feeling Sketchy blog!

and even though this challenge was meant to be a scrapbook page - they were allowing  it to be made into a card, as long as you followed the sketch!

So, after pulling out numerous stashed supplies left right and center, I created the following....

Not much Kaszazz product on this one other than Supa Tape and the Dark Brown Ink pad! The gorgeous Teddy Bear image was from a book that I had almost donated to Vinnies, when I happened to look at it in a different light and decided to repurpose it!

So now I am off to make the other Thankyou card to send so I can pop them in the post tomorrow when I am in town.

Cheers....

Ridgecrest in Coffs!

Hi All!

For the regular readers of my blog, you will already know how my Mum and I organize two Scrapbooking weekends a year at Ridgecrest Mumbil NSW!

This weekend just gone saw 16 ladies gather at Ridgecrest for a fantastic scrapbooking packed weekend, unfortunately I was unable to attend, so I created my own version of  "Scrap Me Happy" up here in Coffs!

Although, I did have to clean my scrapping area before I could start....

so once it was clean and amongst all the Mummy and housework interruptions, I was able to create these pages......

Well technically I had already done the page above at the last Ridgecrest, but I finally did the journalling!

There are still two more small square photos to go on this calendar page - but my printer was not playing nicely, so I will add them once I get them printed.

So all in all, not a very big effort for my so called "Scrap Me Happy"  weekend, but it was enough to give me back my scrapping Mojo and I can't wait to do some more.

Oh and I thought you might like to see how my crafting area fared after the two days.....

Not too bad at all!

Cheers

Kaszazz - Not just for papercrafting!

Hi Everybody! It's really really slack me finally reporting back to my very neglected little blog.

I can explain my whereabouts - honestly!!!!! I have just been busy sewing and avoiding my crafting table ever since I had a baby red belly snake deciding to make its new home under there!  So now I have decided to be brave enough to come back and be creative once again.

Anyway, before I start blogging my paper creations, I thought I would share with you all this gorgeous patchwork pot holder and owl shelf sitter that I made for a swap over at the Craftmad site.

Do you recognize the black pupils on the owl??? They are the largest black buttons sold by Kaszazz in the 2920 Embellishment - Buttons (108) Earth tones pack!

I love how I can combine my sewing and papercrafting addictions to make such fantastic creations.

Cheers.....

Seeing Green......

Hi All! Slack blogger me here! LOL

Just thought I would quickly show you all the 10 1/2" Little Green Man I recently made for a friend who is hosting a Scrapbooking weekend on the St Pat's Day weekend.

This happy chappy was made out of my scrap paper box! I even used the teeny weeny buttons from the Kaszazz pastel button pack on his jacket for some added texture.  I am so in love with my Cricut Expression 2!

Anyway, hope you all manage to get a bit of crafting in over the weekend.

Cheers....

I have joined in some Swaps!!!!!!

Howdy All!

Recently I joined up to Craft Mad - which is a fantastic site offering all types of papercrafting and sewing ideas, tuts and swaps etc.  Well me being me - I immediately signed up for the January Card Swap and also the Jan Sewing Swap.

I can't show you yet what I have sent out to my lovely swap partners (as they are currently in transit as I type) - but I can show you all the lovely swaps that I have received!!!!!!!!!!

For the Card Swap the challenge was to create two cards using a recycled item found around the house and I was partnered up with the amazingly talented Beth from Huggies Crafts!

Can anybody guess what Beth's recycled household item was??????
It was paper napkins! How amazing is that?

As for the cards that I have sent Beth in return - I can tell you that it features pages from an old Readers Digest Book and also some old maps!!!!!

The Sewing swap was a 9" Fence Rail Block to go towards a Craft Mad Friendship lap quilt!
After sewing Christmas presents last year - it was nice to be back at my machine to create something for myself (well you know what I mean).  Each person suggested what colours they would like and each person was given three partners to create for/receive from.  As you can see from below - I went with Blues!!!!!

My lovely block from the talented Merry - who many of you might know from the UnstampaBelles Challenge blog site!

This gorgeous and Moo's favourite was made by Cathy from Cathy's Creative Corner!

And finally this lovely blue floral block from Annette.

I am really looking forward to continuing in both of these swaps over the year - if you are interested in joining in - head on over to the Craft Mad site and register today!

Cheers.....

A Hello Kitty Party fit for any Princess!

Hi All!

Well I have already broken one of my New Year Resolutions - to post at least twice on my blog! Oh well, I'm here now I suppose and that is all that matters!

Anyway, I have some photos to share of some of the fantastic Off the Page projects that was recently created by my good pal Annmaree and myself and also with a little bit of help from my MIL and hubby!

My DD recently turned 8 and all she wanted was a Hello Kitty party!
It is amazing what you can find on the net using google!!!!!
So with a little bit of imagination, the Hello Kitty Cricut Cartridge and a stack load of Bazzill you too can create..........

Invitations!!!!!!!

A Happy Birthday sign - instead of a usual banner!

Cupcake toppers!

and last but by all means certainly not least.......

Favor bags stuffed full of lollies and Hello Kitty goodies!

So to all you crafty people out there, next time you have to organize a party, why not make all the goodies yourself and save yourself a fortune!

Cheers......
