Card & A Half #3 - Sketch Challenge

Hello my lovely Blog Readers!

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend at the moment! I am having some kid free time whilst they are all out woodcutting - so I am trying to make the most of cleaning and crafting at the same time. It is not working very well - but I am sure you would all understand that crafting is way more fun and relaxing than cleaning!

Anyway, I have finally managed to make a card for the Card and A Half #3 - Sketch Challenge.
This was the sketch to go from......

and this is what I came up with.....

I am actually really happy with how this card turned out despite it taking me a couple of days to finish it. I still can't believe that I haven't used any ink or stamps on this one. Yikes! A first for me! I have used a bit of everything that was within the reach of my craft desk though! I also used the Once Upon a Princess Cricut Cart for the label and the bird and lace pieces were given to me by my good pal Annmaree who I think cut them from the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art Cart!

This one has been earmarked for one of hubbies elderly relatives.

Cheers!

Loopy Felt Flowers

Hi All! I hope you are all having a lovely weekend so far!

I have been extremely lucky to get some me time yesterday and more is planned for later today too!
Thought I would share these loopy felt flowers that were featured on the Splitcoast Stampers Blog that I made last night!

They were certainly a lot easier to make then I had originally thought - but I found that the hot glue gun was a lot better to use as it was an instant stick - where the glossy accents seemed to just absorb into the felt.  I love how the Kaszazz Antique Pearl brads just seem to finish the flowers off perfectly.

Cheers!

A Belated Festive Friday!

Hi All!

Some very exciting news today - I have just completed cards 49 and 50 towards Shirley-Anne's 50 Christmas Cards by the 1st Dec Challenge.

Both of these cards were inspired by this You Tube Clip that my pal Annmaree sent me.We had intended to make some Christmas cards at our last playdate - but we just didn't get there as we chatted far too much as usual and only managed to cut the Noel words out.

Cheers!

Giant Sized Hello Kitty!

Hi Everybody!

Just thought I would quickly share what Annmaree and I got up to on our last playdate a couple of weeks ago!
We made an 11 3/4" sized Hello Kitty for Moo's bedroom door as a surprise. Moo was simply estatic to come home and find this - mind you she now keeps pestering me to buy the Hello Kitty cartridges and not to mention to update my baby bug to the Expression!

It was so funny putting together something of this size since the largest I had ever worked with was 5 1/2"!

Festive Friday

Hi All!

Well it has been a long time since I have actually posted a Festive Friday on a Friday! LOL!
It was by pure accident too I can assure you - I was cleaning my craft desk off so I could do a bit of sewing when I stumbled across an old Stamp It catalogue from back in the days when Crafty Kids sold them and also a piece of interesting striped paper.

So I used them to make......

Since the start of the Shopping Our Stash Challenge Blog - I haven't looked at my supplies quite the same - even other household stuff has been heavily critiscised on how I could use them in my card making! Watch out patty pans - I have an idea brewing in this head of mine! LOL!

Anyway, so that is another 2 Christmas cards towards Shirley-Anne's 50 Christmas Cards by the 1st Dec Challenge, bringing my total to........ 48!

Cheers

PS - Isn't this cow sooo cute! My pal Annmaree got him for me!

Quick and Easy Project!

Hi All! I hope you are all having a great day so far!
It's raining again here in Coffs - I am starting to get the impression that it rains pretty much all winter long here! LOL! Anyway.....

Just wanted to share a very quick and easy project - that even little people can do!

Paper covered pencils!

As a Kaszazz Consultant - I thought this would be a great gift to give to hosts or as an extra little bonus to customers. I brought a packet of round lead pencils at the Reject shop and then all the paper came from my ever growing scrap paper stash. Bonus! These would also make a fantastic gift for anybody really - just change the paper to suit.  These pencils above have been earmarked for a Scrapbooking Retreat that I am running later in the year.

Cheers!
