Off the air for a while......

Hi All,  Just a very quick note to let you all know that I will be off the air for a little while, as we are finally moving! YAY!
I am not sure how long it is going to take me to unpack the other end - but with Christmas only a few weeks away now things are going to be double crazy.
Some Christmas Cards that I found in my stash left over from last year!

Christmas Treat Bags

I know I am breaking my own rule here by showing you these photos - as they have been made using some non-Kaszazz products - but I just had to show you all these cute little Christmas Treat Bags I have made for Charlotte's class.  The brilliant thing too was that all the Kaszazz Xmas Paper came from my scrap paper folder - so I was extra delighted.
A very special thanks to my wonderful friend Lorraine who taught me how to make these last year and also went out of her way to find the topper measurements for me this year after I had misplaced my sample one.

Cricut Bug Head

Look what I made today!  I have wanted to make one of these cute little Cricut Bug Heads for a long time now and stumbled across the instructions on this fantastic blog - Two Chics & A Cricut!
The instructions also include a YouTube clip - which for me made making this cutie really easy.
If you own a Cricut, this blog is a must to check out at http://www.twochicsandacricut.blogspot.com/ !

Sympathy Cards

An Aunt & Uncle on my husband's side lost their sister last week to Cancer, luckily I had these cards in my stash as I find it really hard to make sympthay cards when they are needed.
Both cards feature the 1718LK Cherry Blossoms Large stamp. The top card has Tim Holtz Distress Ink - worn lipstick blended on some of the blossoms and a touch of ice stickles - this card is a Kaszazz Demo Card. The bottom card has been coloured using smooch ink for the branch and chalk for the blossoms - this card was originally designed by the very talented Rachel Witthaus. Check out her blog at http://iheartstampnscrap.blogspot.com/ .  I have adapted this card with the stamped image double mounted onto ivory card before attaching to the backing card.  Once again - the photos do not do the cards justice.

Yr 12 Formal Candle

Hi All,  I am on my way to get my hair done for my little sister's formal tonight and just couldn't help doing a quick post of the candle that I have just made her for tonight.  I have used Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Dusty Concord with the 1773LN Cute Letter Un-Cut Set (65) and 74092 ColorBox Mini - Metallic - Silver with the 610LF Dragonfly - Small .  The ribbons, candle and the base are not from Kaszazz - but the ribbons are what they used in the other formal decorations - so I wanted to keep it all tied together.
I am very happy with how it turned out - not bad for only my second attempt.

Circut Owl Birthday Card

I finally managed to take a photo of the card I made for my mum for her birthday.  The card was made using the Kaszazz SB Essentials range of card and the Sentiments cartridge on my cricut machine.  I scored the leaves in half so they gave the card a bit of a 3D nature to it.  Mum being a bit of an Owl fanatic just loves this card.

Stamped Candle

Hi Guys,  I know that this is not a Kaszazz stamp - but I just had to share this really simple idea with you all.  I learnt how to do stamped candles from a lovely lady called Jo Tritton at our last Ridgecrest Camp back in October.  I honestly thought that it was going to be hard - when really it is soooo simple.  You simply stamp your desired image onto white tissue paper and then trim with scissors, then place the stamped image onto a candle in the position you want then wrap the candle in a piece of wax pape to hold it in place.  You then gently heat with a heat gun and viola!  So simple.  I am planning on making a lot of these for teachers gifts etc this Christmas and even thought I could make one for my little Sister's YR 12 formal which is on this Friday using Dragonfly stamps.

Easy Rollagraph Frame

I learnt to make this really easy rollagraph frame at the last Scrap Me Happy weekend from my very talented downline, Patricia Bost.  (I must be a bit of a mean Team Leader though, because I made all my downlines attending  do a demo).
Anyway, Pat showed us all how to do really easy mitred corners using our rollagraph wheels,  turning them into these gorgeous frames.  Imagine the possibilities.... I have just ordered the new 59002 Butterflies jumbo wheel to make a 12x12 frame as a christmas present - so stand by for that post.
Pat is currently in the process of writing up the instructions for this workshop to submit to Kaszazz.  Good Luck Pat!

ATC's - A Bit of Bling

These are the amazing ATC's made from the recent A Bit of Bling! Ridgecrest Weekend held late October.
As you can see there is a lot of Kaszazz products used such as stamps, inks, punches, SB papers, sticky bling & pearls, design adhesives, glitter and the new Ezy-Press. The photo does not show all the sparkle and bling-i-ness of these cards.

TTD Comp Entry

This was my entry into the September Team Training Day Competition - the challenge was to use one of the newly released Christmas stamps. My apologies for the poor quality of the photos - but at 5am in the morning it is as good as it is going to get. I can tell you that this entry won first place!
I choose the 1878LM Word Tree and made a gorgeous little Christmas Decoration set. I stamped the Word Tree 5 times before cutting it out and then sticking them together with some ribbon inside, so it can be hung on a tree. I also made some smaller decorations using the circle scallop punch and the same method.
This is going to be a gift for one of Charlotte's teachers for Christmas. Please note that the Noodle box was pre-made and is not a Kaszazz product.

BIL's Engagement Present

My baby Brother in Law recently got engaged and they had their engagement party last Saturday night. Anyway, I made them a guest book, card holder and card to match their invitations.
The papers and ribbons are non Kaszazz, but I used Kaszazz stamps and orange rhinestones throughout. I am really happy with the way it all turned out and can even say that the colour scheme of Orange and Brown certainly had won me over by the time I had finished.

Sept TTD

Vanessa and I travelled over to Forbes for Sept TTD. It was fantastic to be able to catch up with all the girls again - living in a country area it is a lot harder for us just to pop over etc.
This release is by far the best Kaszazz has offered so far - I love how Kaszazz listen to what their consultants and customers want and then provide it. Anyway, we played with lots of new stamps, papers and coloured rubons making the above scrapbooking layout and cards. We also made a really pretty flower using the new paper piercer - but I have manged to put mine "somewhere safe"!
The most awesome news on the day was the release of the Bellish! Ezy Press - I have since been lucky enough to get one myself and it is fantastic. So easy to use and I am just so in love with the embossing that it can do.

An Apology

Hi All! Remember me - it's Kel!
My sincere apologies for my absence of late - I have just had some unavoidable business and family issues that I have had to deal with, school holidays, a man run up the bum of my car causing some major damage and to top it all off my old computer has slowly been giving up the ghost, so I have finally brought a new one and am madly transfering it all over before it does die.
I have lots of photos to post - so I promise to start uploading them later today once Will goes down for his nap. See you soon!

Product Challenge - Fortnight 9

Hi All! Thanks for stopping by and checking my blog.
Well time has managed to get away from me again - so I have had to skip a few fortnights of Product Challenges. But I did manage to get the final fortnight done - the challenge was to make an ATC using Australian Stamps and Smooch or Smooch Spritz!
I thought this was a fantastic opportunity to buy the Gecko stamp! I also got to use my new ATC stamp set which my lovely friend Karen from Orange gave me as a pressie.
Anyway, I had better get going - I am off to the September Team Training Day today and am already running late. Cheers Kel!

18th Birthday Invites

These are the invites that Eryn and I settled on for her 18th! The wording is printed on computer paper and then matted onto either Bazzill Yellow, Ladybug or Limeade (CC) Bazzill before matting onto Raven Bazzill. Each invite also has some Rhinestones and a butterfly from the Cute as a Bug stamp set that has been embossed using Opalescent Embossing Powder and punched out using the Butterfly punch.
I am really happy with how they turned out and even in the wee hours of this morning - they didn't take to long to make.

Father's Day Card

Hi all, just thought I would show you all the really quick and easy card I made for Braydon for Father's Day. I used the Denim, Blue Jay and Butterscotch from the SB Card Essentials - Horizon pack, Rust twill ribbon and an aged copper brad.

Word Tree Stamp

I am in love with this stamp - 1878LM Word Tree! It stamps so cleanly which is a huge bonus for heavy handed stampers like me and the words also come out clearly when embossed as well. The green cardstock is an old deleted Kaszazz line.
The project I am creating is for the September Team Training Day competition - so I will post the finished project after the day.

Product Challenge - Fortnight 5

Fortnight 5 sees us using the 1391 12cm Flowers.
My creation started out as a card inspired by Alison Facey's card printed in the Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft Mag Vol 15 No 8, however it quickly turned into an 18th Birthday Party Invite for my little sister. That is until she then dropped the bombshell that she needs 50 invites - I don't love her that much.
All products are from Kaszazz - the words "It's a Party" has been cut from Black Bazzill using my Cricut.

Panda Card

Just thought I would quickly share this with you all. This was the card my customers made at my new product launch back in January this year. We stamped the Panda in Ancient Page - Coal Black onto Gloss card and the edges of the two mats were also distressed using the new Distresser tool. Another very simple card from my collection!

Glitter Playdough

As Charlotte was having a friend over for the weekend, I had promised to make them some playdough. Unable to put my hands on my trusted and tried recipe, my lovely hubby found me one on the net - which suggested that I add glitter into the mix for a sparkly treat. So off to my stash of Kaszazz glitters and I added a tube of 10316 Top Boss Glitter - Sparkling Amethyst to the batch of pink playdough. The results were incredible and both girls thought I was the best. This has to be the best playdough I have ever made!

Playdough Recipe
2 Cups Plain Flour
4 Tablespoons Cream of Tartar
2 Tablespoons Cooking Oil
1 Cup Normal Salt
2 Cups Boiling Water
Food Colouring of choice
Glitter of choice

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl before adding wet ingredients. Stir together until combined. Knead on a floured board or benchtop. Enjoy!

Product Challenge - Fortnight 4

Well, you will all have to excuse the non event for this challenge!
Product Challenge - Fortnight 4 is the 1370LF Snowy Large Stamp and is not a stamp that I would ever consider buying. It would have to be my least favourite stamp in the Kaszazz Catalogue. Mind you each to their own when it comes to taste.
I would be really interested if anybody has used this stamp to see what you did with it - you never know, it may even change my mind!

F: A-Z Scrapbooking Album

I had been stumbling on the F is for Fiji page! Until I was looking through an old card magazine and found the idea for the ratty border - so I adapted it to suit my page. I am happy with how it turned out in the end. Now for G!

Smooch Spritz Storage

Seen I am now in cleaning/tidy up mode - I thought I would share with you all how I store my Smooch Spritz's. It is simply a Mini Minister Organiser which Kaszazz sells for $24.95! I can't take the credit for the idea though - the lovely Fi from Forbes told me about this wonderful storage idea a couple of Team Training Days ago!

Cricut - Scrap Caddy

Well, both kids are finally in bed asleep, so I decided to sneak into my craft room for a bit of a play in order to hopefully brighten my mood!
My poor desk is so overloaded with everything that when I sat down most of it fell onto the floor - which was probably just as well - as the Scrap Caddy's that I had recently brought landed on top. So rather than just dumping them back on my desk - I decided to put my Cricut Cartridges into their new home.
I love my new Caddy's as they fit 8 cartridges, books & overlays comfortably in each one and then you can stack them on top of each other. I even lashed out and brought the strap that joins 2-3 together making them easier to transport.

Product Challenge - Fortnight 3

The challenge this time was to use the Angel Wings Stamp! I must admit that I have cheated on this challenge, as I had already created these pages for a Team Training Day Competition last year - where you had to use Antique Embellishment Kit. I have used opalescent embossing powder on vellum for the wings - which gives a lovely coloured sparkle in real life. I also watermarked the bear on the solid blue bazzill in the pocket pieces.
The trial workshops for this layout went really well and I have even sold a few kits, however, I have just never gotten around to finishing off the instructions. So.... I am using this challenge to motivate myself and finish the instructions so I can submit them to Kaszazz. Wish me luck!

Tri Fold Christmas Card

A very dear friend of mine had asked me to do the Kaszazz Tri Fold Christmas Card workshop created by the talented Kim Gauci for her in June - but as time had it for both me and her - I ended up teaching the above card only yesterday based on Kim's instructions and with what supplies I had on hand. I love the simplicity and country rustic-ness of this card. Some of the ladies that made the card yesterday coloured the stars in on the baubles using the Green Apple and Siren Smooch!
I am seriously thinking that this might be my Christmas Card this year!

C, D & E: A-Z Scrapbooking Album

I have really enjoyed myself today completing these three letters amongst the washing, folding and helping Braydon put in a new back door. The more letters I do, the more I want to keep going - I am really enjoying this year in review idea and even whilst hanging out the washing I was busily thinking of the next letter and what I can do for it.
The letter F - Fiji, Farnham and Family - just need one more!
G - Hmmm............

I probably should also mention that I had completed the D is for Daddy page last year and put in the 2010 Wellington Show - which it took out first place in the Scrapbooking Page Class. I won a certificate and also a $10 voucher at Snazzi Scrappin' (a Scrapbooking store in Dubbo NSW).

B: A - Z Scrapbooking Album

Well today I did manage to get the letter B done, which I thought was pretty poor considering I had already stuck the layout together and written on the Ballet tag. Mind you running out of yellow printer ink didn't help.

Welcome - New Team Member!

A very big welcome to another new consultant in my team - Tanya Silvester!
Tanya is a bright and bubbly mum of two boys who is currently living in Grenfell NSW, but is relocating to Cowra NSW later this year to be closer to her partner. If anybody is in either of these areas and would like a Kaszazz consultant that is passionate about papercrafts and full of spunk, let me know and I will put you in contact with Tanya.
Welcome to the team Tanya!

Kaszazz A - Z Scrapbooking Album

Yay! I have finally finished a letter!
I qualified to get my A-Z kit as a host gift about a year ago and although I had created a list of what I had planned for each letter, I had only done a few here and there. I am feeling a bit off colour at the moment, so I have decided to get this album out and fill in the blanks (which is about 95% of it).
Off to complete the letter B!

Welcome - New Team Member!

A very big welcome to my newest team member - Vanessa Murray.
Vanessa has been one of my customers for a long time now and has only just taken the plunge and joined. Vanessa lives in Dripstone NSW on a shedded sheep farm with her husband and her two boys. If anybody is in that area and is looking for a local Kaszazz consultant to buy product from and also to do workshops etc, drop me a line and I will put you in touch with her.
As Charlotte would say - "Welcome aboard Anessa"!

Product Challenge - Fortnight 2

I have finally gotten around to completing the second product challenge - this time it is any Rollagraph wheel! I purchased the Dogwoods Wheel a couple of months ago after one of my customer in Orange had brought it. I had been mulling this idea over for ages now - I was certain of the colours, the chipboard words and also that it was to be a page n card. Everything else came together over the course of today inbetween housework, putting Will into his umpteenth change of clothes and a trip to the library for a Crafternoon session on making festive paper flowers with Charlotte.

Product Challenge - Fortnight 1

One of my downlines Tania and myself attended the May TTD (Kaszazz Team Training Day) over in Forbes with a lovely bunch of ladies. We all decided to set fortnightly challenges using a different product and then at the next TTD we would bring along what we had made and then have a show & tell session over a cuppa and some cake at the end of the day.
The first challenge - was the 4195KE Stamp - Return to Sender! I brought this stamp in my last order and have been thinking of what to do with it - until this morning when I was at playgroup with Will looking at some great Kindy collage when I came up with this idea. The cards turned out how I saw them in my head - I am just not 100% sure if I like them. I have used a lot of edge distressing with the paper distresser and also with my Walnut Stain inkpad.
Let me know what you think!

I Love the new products!!!!!!

My parcel arrived on Monday and since then I have been in love with the new 12x12 mat and also the craft trays when it comes to using embossing powder or glitter. I haven't played with the new adhesive flock yet - waiting to have a child free day first.

Birthday Card Holder

I have been making these card holders for many years now - I saw it originally in a Scrapbooking store in Orange, but can't remember which one! Anyway I made this one yesterday for a friend's son's 1st birthday. It is made from the My Boy Kazazz papers, A Chipboard Frame It page - 12x12, Alphamidi - Weird stickers, Organdy ribbon in red, yellow & white, Blue Ric Rac and a Hinged Ring. Once made all you need to do is punch a hole in the top left hand corner of each card and then thread onto the hinged ring - so easy! Apart from making them for my own use - I normally make them as gifts for new births and milestone birthdays.

Kaszazz is Child's Play!

Charlotte and I have been making sock puppets over the weekend just gone, as part of the Caring & Sharing Badge for Joey Scouts. I just thought that I would share this photo of "Louise" with you all - showing you her lovely hair acessories compliments of my Kaszazz stash! It is amazing the many purposes our 4cm Daisies and our 13mm Rhinestones have outside of the cardmaking and scrapbooking areas.

September 2010 Pre-Release

Kaszazz has pre-released some fantastic new products such as a range of ribbons (same as the old designs - but at a much much cheaper price), adhesive flock - Spring Time Black, 12 x 12 cutting mat, small & large craft trays and two new stamps - Lace and Journal Postage Frame.
These new products were meant to have been part of the May release but due to supplier issues, they have only just landed in our Wharehouse - so rather than make us all wait until September - Kaszazz thought that would surprise us all now.
I am so excited about these new products and can't wait until my latest order comes back so I can have a play with them.

Almost 100% Kaszazz!

Both kids have been driving me round the bend for the last two days, leaving me little time to myself let alone to do the housework etc - but I did manage to make two cards today. Although I need to report that the cards aren't 100% Kaszazz and I have broken my vow of only posting items with only Kaszazz products - but I just had to share these with you all.

My sister asked me to make this card for an 18th that she is going to tonight. Fellow Kaszazz Consultant Tracy Franklin taught me how to make this card originally - this is my version. I used my Opposites Attract Cartridge in my Cricut to cut the 18 from the new SB Card Essentials - Lemon. The non-Kaszazz parts are some stray ribbon and of course the Frangipani Paper - but the recipient is white/yellow Frangipani mad and I had this paper stashed away from my pre-consultant days.

I love the simplicity of this card - it is simply a photo of the table centrepiece at a friend's wedding Braydon and I attended in April. I then matted the photo on some x-Kaszazz Glitter Paper, tied some ribbon around it and then stuck it to the front of the card. I am planning on sending this card along with a disc of the photos I took from the wedding to the newlyweds. Being an avid Scrapbooker - I have taken odd photos such as the ironwork gates at the church, the welcoming sign, the back of the Bride's dress, candid family photos and not to mention the meals!
